Trying a new cocktail can be an intimidating task at home. I try to bring you recipes you can easily make and enjoy at home without having to spend a fortune or search high and low for ingredients. I recently discovered EastBEV Co boxes and am loving how easy and delicious they are. You can make craft cocktails at home and learn something new with each box. EastBEVCo subscription boxes focus on Asian inspired drinks and strive to teach subscribers about the ingredients and traditions behind each drink. The box is delivered to your door and everything you need, except the alcohol, is inside.
This box is all about Sake, something I had never purchased before. I read the enclosed cards and learned how to select a Sake and how to drink it. I enjoyed shopping for just the right bottle to make the included recipes. They suggested that I try the Sake warm and chilled first to really get an idea of the flavors. It was wonderful to sip and ponder this new drink before even taking a crack at the cocktails.
The box is neatly packaged with all the ingredients even fresh produce!
After reading the cards inside to learn abut the company, what I might need and what’s included I got to work making the cocktails. I started with the Spring Flower, a vibrant and refreshing sake cocktail that reminds me of Spring.
The drink was easy to make and I enjoyed tasting it and talking with my friends about the flavor notes. There are enough ingredients in the box to make the each cocktail 4 times. That’s a lot of drinks! You can invite some friends over and learn and create these drinks together. In addition to the Spring Flower, there are 2 other delicious and inventive Sake cocktails to make and try in this box.
